Synopsis

Footballer of the Year sees you take full control of an aspiring striker's career with a Division 4 team, with the Footballer of the Year award as the ultimate goal. You start with a small amount of money, which is used to purchase objective cards; each of them gives you a chance in a match. Up to three can be played in each game, making Hat-Tricks a possibility.

Action sequences involve studying a move plan on the blackboard, then getting into the correct position to execute the final blow. Don't score enough goals and you risk losing your place in the team; do particularly well and you can earn a transfer to the league.
