Synopsis

Fortress is a clone of SEGA's Zaxxon, copying many elements from the original game. Using a scrolling isometric perspective, players must guide a spaceship through a course. It is filled with enemies such as stationary turrets, spaceships and rockets launched from the ground. There are also many obstacles to avoid. Instead of just shooting everything that moves, the player must also shoot fuel barrels to combat the dwindling fuel supply. The ship can also move up and down in the air. In this way, many dangers can be avoided, but it consumes a lot of fuel. Flying higher is often necessary to move up walls and pass through narrow doorways. When the game is finished, it restarts immediately. The player has three lives.
