Synopsis

Frankenstein 2000 is an action game written by Kevin Blake. The player controls a small machine and travels through Frankenstein's body. The body is divided into several organs—for example, the brain, the stomach, the lungs, etc. Each organ is a small maze where the player avoids obstacles and activates special devices. At times, traveling between organs resembles a simple shoot ’em up, where the player shoots at various objects. The player must keep an eye on two “bars”—damage and oxygen. The original version of Icon was intended exclusively for the BBC Micro; it was re-released in 1988 on the Atlantis label in cassette format for the BBC Micro and Electron.
