Synopsis

Not to be confused with the famous Frantic Freddie, this is an unofficial C64 port of the lesser known Spectravideo game Frantic Freddy.

Freddy must put out all the fires and save all the cats trapped in a burning building. He must run back and forth on the ground, dodging falling debris while spraying flames at the windows. Once all the fires are extinguished, the game moves on to the next floor, where Freddy can move between floors by shooting left and right instead of up. In these levels there are two types of flames: red and purple. The purple ones are more aggressive, chasing Freddy around the screen and can only be turned off once all the red ones are turned off.

On higher difficulty levels, cats appear intermittently at windows and fall down after a while. Freddy must catch them, otherwise he loses a life. Likewise, he loses a life if he is hit by fire or falling debris.
