Synopsis

Fray's story takes place between the events of Xak and those of Xak II. During Xak, Fray couldn't use magic and was more or less a helpless young girl who was saved by the hero of the Xak series, Latok Kart. After being rescued, Fray becomes romantically interested in Latok and decides that if she can become useful to Latok and help him in his quests, perhaps Latok will become romantically interested in her in return.
Fray is a simple action game. Battles take place in real time, with Fray moving around an auto-vertically scrolling map, just like the monsters. She has attack and defense ratings, and can switch between projectile weapon styles, as well as use special attacks and healing items.
