Synopsis

Fushigi no Umi Nadia is an adventure game released only in Japan in 1993. It is an adventure game in the form of an animated comic where you relive the story of the manga in a succession of dialogues.

The story takes place just after the destruction of the Nautilus. The crew finds themselves stranded on a mysterious island, which corresponds to the storyline of the anime from episode 25, where Grandis and the jewel thieves have already joined Jean and Nadia in their travels with Captain Nemo on his submarine "Nautilus". After a dramatic scene that reveals more about Electra's past, the crew is stranded on a mysterious island. Nadia and her friends then decide to explore the island and will discover an ancient civilization and will meet a strange young blonde girl, Fizis, chased by a Neo Atlantean who also wants Nadia, Goblin.

The game primarily plays like an interactive comic or visual novel, although it contains adventure elements such as spoken commands. However, these controls are generally very sparse and there are no submenus with objects or people to interact with. The game progresses linearly, and the player's input is largely reduced to choosing between multiple locations to explore first. There is also a separate quiz mode where the player answers questions asked by characters from the series in SD.
