Synopsis

G-Loc Air Battle is a direct sequel to After Burner. The game embraces the action-packed albeit limited gameplay, with a noticeably slowed pace, making the player's survival more dependent on their abilities than the "shoot and pray" style of After Burner.

The goal of the game is to destroy a certain number of enemy planes coming from all sides, by rolling and turning to dodge enemy missiles. Some levels feature ground units and enemy installations that must also be destroyed.
The player's plane is equipped with a machine gun and a limited number of missiles that must be locked on to enemy targets.

G-Loc levels traverse different terrain, from wide plains to narrow canyons. Later in the game, the player must land on an aircraft carrier; failing results in a game over.
