Synopsis

Galaga is a shoot'em up video game developed by Namco and marketed on arcade machines in 1981. It is the sequel to Galaxian.
The player pilots a spaceship which can only move from left to right at the bottom of the screen and which only has a single shot. Enemy ships attempt to bombard the player. As in Galaxian (also a Namco game), ships can descend towards the player and attempt to kill them by collision or bombardment. Certain ships ("mothership" or "Galaga boss") have the possibility of approaching the player's ship and capturing it.
