Synopsis

Galaxian is a shoot'em up in which the player is at the bottom of the screen and controls a spaceship called "Galaxip" with the goal of eliminating aliens. Enemies appear in formation at the top of the screen with two escort ships. The player moves left to right to aim at an alien, then fires a bullet and the alien they encounter is killed. Aliens are categorized as Drones, Emissaries, Hornets and Commanders, with those higher on the screen scoring more points if destroyed. At regular intervals, an enemy will move towards you on the screen and escort a bomber. The Galaxip can only fire one shot at the screen and must wait until it reaches the top before firing another.
Enemy movement increases as the game progresses, as does the number of shots enemies fire.
