Synopsis

Galaxian is a shoot'em up where the player is at the bottom of the screen and controls a spaceship called "Galaxip" with the goal of eliminating aliens. Enemies appear in formation at the top of the screen with two escort ships. The player moves left and right to aim at an alien, then fires a bullet and the alien they encounter is killed. Aliens are classified as Drones, Emissaries, Hornets and Commanders, with those higher on the screen scoring more points if destroyed. At set intervals, an enemy moves towards you on the screen and escorts a bomber. The Galaxip can only fire one shot at the screen and must wait until it reaches the top before it can fire another.
Enemy movement increases as the game progresses, as does the number of shots enemies fire.
