Synopsis

Galaxy Force was manufactured in the arcades during the heyday of SEGA Sprite scaling hardware and was later ported to the ZX Spectrum.
The game is divided into four "scenes" or planets: You have to fly your spaceship over the respective surface of the planet and not only face enemy attack waves, but also natural phenomena such as meteorites, lava eruptions and tornadoes. To fight them, you have a volcanic as well as an inexhaustible inventory of missiles. Once you've fought your way across the planet, you enter a system of tunnels within the planet's inner limits. As the tunnel spins you will be given instructions on which direction to maneuver, but the narrow tunnel leaves little room for you to take evasive maneuvers. As soon as you exit the tunnel, the entire planet will be destroyed and you will come to the ultimate boss encounter.
