Synopsis

Gandalf the Sorcerer is a fixed-screen shooter where you play as Gandalf and defend your castle against lizardmen invading the woods. Using a sight, you burn them with limited firepower. Defeated enemies drop coins, but if they reach the door, they will attempt to break it down while your apprentice stirs a cauldron. If the apprentice is captured, he is taken outside, triggering an isometric view where you must pursue the captor, defeat him, and escort the apprentice back. Fire can be recharged by climbing the tower. Suffering a single hit means the end of the game, and losing three apprentices ends your quest.
