Synopsis

Geordie Racer is an educational game developed by Longman Logotron for BBC Enterprises (now known as BBC Worldwide), and broadcast to British primary schools for BBC Micro in 1987; it is based on the twelfth series of the BBC drama series Look and Read (which premiered on BBC2 in 1967), and the player is guided through it by the show's mascot, Wordy (but the series on which it is based was the last to feature it). The character Sal the Sea Serpent, who appears in the tenth and final challenge, was also created specifically for the game and did not appear on television.
