Synopsis

Gilbert: Escape from Drill is based on the animated series Gilbert. Gilbert, a disgusting alien, returned home after finishing filming his TV series. He has to leave Planet Drill quickly because he has to sign his next contract. Unfortunately, the people of Drill have had enough of Gilbert's arrogance. So they stole important parts of his spaceship and hid them in the city.

The city is a labyrinthine structure where various enemies attempt to harm Gilbert, but by using his snot he can oppose them. By killing enough enemies on the same screen, a power-up appears, which can be saved for later (up to four) and which has positive effects on Gilbert, such as floating. The most important part of the city is the arcade machines which lead to mini games. After reaching a high score (failure results in a time limit penalty), part of the spaceship is placed in the city and Gilbert is given a clue as to where it can be found.
