Synopsis

You must collect gold nuggets while avoiding the 'misers'. The misers will hit the player with surprising speed and precision. The player really has to think quickly, otherwise he loses a life. Successful tactics depend on the miser who pursues you. The first screen starts with the red miser, and the second has two misers - one red and one green. The title screen shows four of them (green, blue, red, and magenta), and each takes a different path for the player, who controls a white spinning object for reasons that are never explained! The number of gold nuggets to collect on each screen is random, as is their positioning. If you're lucky, you only need to grab two or three nuggets to complete a level! Gold Digger features music from camp favorite "Oh My Darling Clementine" (performed by Melvyn Wright) while loading from the cassette and then again on the title screen.
