Synopsis
Probably the first retro collection offered to the buying public – this compilation features four classic computer games (or more precisely, three computer games and an adaptation of an electronic video game). Play Eliza, Conway's Life, Crowther's Adventure or Al Alcorn's Pong. All four games are free adaptations – there's no standard version of Eliza, and this one compares well with others. Pong is presented as an ASCII representation of the game (and includes a remake with colors!). Meanwhile, Life offers various pre-formed populations, including the infamous "Glider Gun" – which holds a prominent place in Steven Levy's book Hackers.
