Graham Gooch's Test Cricket
Synopsis
It's time to grab your bat and pads, put on your white outfit and play some cricket. In this computer version, you can choose the length of the match (40, 50, 60 overs or two innings), the number of players (one or two), the skill level (one to nine) and whether you want to play in simulation or arcade mode. You then select your eleven players for each team: wicket-keepers, slip catchers and bowlers. The main game is played with a view of a small part of the field, behind the bowler and at a slight height, also displaying the batsmen, the wicket-keeper and the slip catcher. In simulation mode, you control the direction of the ball when throwing; in arcade mode, you can also determine its speed. For the drummer, simulation mode allows you to play defensively or aggressively, while in arcade mode the game is always aggressive. When a ball is hit on the court, an overhead side view shows players chasing the ball, and the computer determines the number of points scored.
