Synopsis

Grange Hill, a British children's series broadcast from 1978 to 2008, is set in a college in north London. The game is an arcade adventure with graphic text elements. You play as Luke “Gonch” Gardner and his friend Paul “Hollo” Holloway. Gonch's Walkman was confiscated and then stolen from the staff room. You and Hollo must return to school and find him before midnight to avoid his mother's punishment. You have to collect and use objects in the right places and interact with the characters.
The main playing field is viewed from the side and uses the fixed screen. Gonch interacts with his environment, can jump over obstacles and dies when in contact with danger. The lower part of the screen displays text describing your location, objects, and conversations. The Fire button opens a menu to pick up, drop, examine, use, give, take or speak. A clock indicates the approach of midnight and the objects carried are visible.
