Synopsis

The Great Battle IV is the fourth installment in The Great Battle series, part of the larger Compati Hero series. This aims to bring together the heroes and villains of Ultraman, Gundam and Kamen Rider in an SD format where all the characters are the same size. The Great Battle games are the "heart" of the Compati Hero series, offering a classic 2D side-scrolling action game, mixing shooter and platforming elements.

Players can switch playable characters at any time among the three protagonists from the series' respective franchises, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

The series had an additional sequel on Super Famicom in 1995: The Great Battle V. The following games were released on different consoles.
