Synopsis

Great Britain Limited appoints you as both Prime Minister and Chancellor of Great Britain, giving you responsibility for every element of the country's economy. You're initially presented with key statistics on unemployment and inflation (and some sample prices), as well as your party's budget, and from there you need to set taxes (from alcohol and petrol rates to general corporation tax and VAT) and benefits. You can then allocate money to special projects, such as improving the transport system and creating more jobs for school leavers.

Once these decisions are made, the results on the economy and your popularity rating are displayed. The game continues like this for four turns, representing four years. At this point you need to prepare for an election. You have 1000 PR units to allocate, dividing them between inflation, unemployment, foreign aid and law and order, depending on what you think your government's problems are. You have three attempts to improve your advertising rating. The election results then roll out, updated each time one of the four parties gains 10 additional seats. If successful, you have a second term of this.
