Great Sluggers
Synopsis
The gameplay largely resembles that of the NS2 era (1991-1993) of Namco's World Stadium series, in which the two players take control of two of the twelve real Japanese baseball teams from the Central and Pacific leagues. They must then choose one of four stadiums available for the match — two of them are carried over from all World Stadium titles (although Kōshien has been renamed "Trad"), while the other two were created specifically for this game. All stadiums also feature advertisements for old Namco games, such as Starblade, Pac-Man, Mappy, Pac-Land, Dig Dug, Net-tō! Geki-tō! Quiz-tō!!, Final Lap, Emeraldia, Numan Athletics, as well as for their theme park at the time, "Wonder Eggs", located in Tokyo.
