"GOLD..."—The rumor is spreading through the city like ripples on a pond. That word is rarely spoken, even by ordinary citizens, but now King Ardanga is offering a treasure of gold and the title of adventurer to anyone who dares to venture into the catacombs to recover his stolen jewels. Arfa, the greedy, outcast dwarf, has fled with three precious jewels from the king’s treasury. A death sentence hangs over him, but who will volunteer to carry it out? As you delve deeper and deeper into the twisted tunnels beneath the king’s castle in your search for the missing gems, your life will become almost as precious as the gold you hope to earn. Time, as always, is of the essence, for your lamp is slowly fading. Strange monsters guard the path ahead, and the jewels still elude you. Perhaps if you bring back just one, the king might release you from this task… on the other hand, he might cut off your head!" Only if you survive this monumental quest and bring him the gems will you earn the title of “The Adventurer” and the promised gold.
