Synopsis

Gyruss is a tube‑shooter where the player moves their ship in a circle around a central point to take on waves of enemies.
Several types of adversaries appear; ships, satellites, asteroids and laser barrier generators.
By destroying certain satellites, it is possible to improve your weaponry.
Progression is made by jumps ("warps") from one planet to another, and each arrival on a planet gives access to a bonus stage allowing you to score additional points.
Once Earth is reached, the cycle begins again with increased difficulty.
The game is also known for its electronic arrangement of Bach's Toccata and Fugue
