Synopsis
Hammer Away is a never-released vertical shooter arcade game for Sega System 18, developed by Santos and originally scheduled to be released by Sega in 1991. Presented at the Amusement Machine Show in 1991, it seems to have never been seen since. According to one hypothesis, its gameplay would not have allowed Hammer Away to compete with more recent titles, including the success of Seibu Kaihatsu in 1990, Raiden. A prototype has since been found.
