Synopsis

The protagonist, Keiji Maeda, travels through the countryside of Edo-period Japan and fights against various evildoers and other warriors.

The player controls Keiji's actions by selecting choices from a menu, similar to adventure games of the era. In combat, the game switches to head-to-head combat mode. The player's previous choices can sometimes give him a bonus or a penalty before these fights. The game follows the story of the manga, starting at the exact same time as this one.
