Synopsis

Hard Nova is a science fiction role-playing game with space exploration, spaceship customization, combat and trading elements, somewhat similar in concept to Sentinel Worlds I: Future Magic. There is no character creation in the game: at the start, the player chooses between the female mercenary Nova and the male mercenary Stark. They have slightly different attributes and may have access to different lines of dialogue as the game progresses. Most of the other crew members must be recruited from the game world. Three of them can be taken to different planets, where they can interact with other characters and participate in battles, where only the leader is manually controlled. On-foot combat takes place in real time, with delays due to weapon properties and character skills. Firearms play a major role in combat.
