Heavy Metal Meltdown
Synopsis
The Heavy Metal Meltdown pinball manufactured by Bally in 1987 was designed by Dan Langlois with the art by Tony Ramunni. It uses a single music track, a drum track and bass line, while the player is left to fill in the lead with guitar riffs by hitting shots. Every switch triggers part of a riff, so the duration of the ball sounds like an extended guitar solo.
Load ball into power amp to advance level. hit flashing level targets to light 100k ramp. Load 5 balls for Meltdown to release all balls. Power amp shot advances playfield value multiplier. Spell HEAVY or METAL to light Extra Ball timer. Load 4 balls to light Special. Spell JAM to advance Bonus Multiplier.
