Synopsis

Hi-Leg Fantasy is simply a parody of Final Fantasy! nnAnyway, we find quite a few elements in Hi-Leg which seem straight out of a Final (Super Famicom era). The only difference is that when it comes to budget, SquareSoft and Games Express don't really play in the same league, and we can reasonably think that what the first spends on a single cinematic sequence must be a thousand times higher than the second's annual budget. It should therefore not be surprising to see in Hi-Leg Fantasy a Series Z Final Fantasy, where the immensity, the richness and the showiness give way to an obsolescence with strong scents of amateurism. Besides, nowadays, it must be possible to do much better with mainstream development software, like RPG Maker or others...
The fact remains that High-Leg's interface looks exactly like those of the SFC episodes of Final Fantasy, namely menus arranged in an identical manner and completely blue screens: cheapos, but the system has proven itself! In the same genre, the magic learning system is quite similar to that used in Final Fantasy VI...
For the record, the Games Express staff - who are definitely not ashamed of anything - did not hesitate to re-pump the famous Chocobo, and give us their version of the funny bird via the Dachô!
For the fights, it's still FF-like, namely confrontations seen in profile, with your characters in a row. The only nuance: rather than facing Behemots and Ultros, we only interact with super-slutty Amazons! Original and ultimately funny, even if stuck-up gentlemen won't necessarily be of the same opinion. Once they have been defeated, they then appear in their simplest form, even if - once again - clever subterfuges allow the most "hot stuff" parts to be hidden. To stay on the salacious side which is a good laugh, the shape of the crystals and the material used to make the airship fly (two essential elements in any FF... and therefore in HLF!) are not bad either: a must see!
