Synopsis

Hokuto no Ken is based on the anime series First of the North Star, from which it follows the plot. The story begins as Burt and Lynn are about to get married and Lynn is kidnapped by Jado, a disciple of "Dark Hokuto". It is then that Ken (retired into a cave) is attacked by a henchman from this martial arts school. After defeating him, Ken decides to investigate.
The player watches the plot unfold in long, animated scenes and only plays an active role during turn-based combat. The player chooses his actions from a menu. A time bar marks the progress of the rounds. When the battle is won, another scene begins, etc. The game is divided into levels and a password is given after defeating each one.
