Synopsis

Hokuto no Ken is based on the manga series Fist of the North Star. The story focuses on Kenshiro, a young martial artist mastering the deadly technique known as Hokuto Shinken, which he uses to protect innocents from the malicious fighters who populate a post-apocalyptic world. The game's plot follows the manga's initial story arc, as Kenshiro and Bat attempt to find Shin, Kenshiro's former rival. This incarnation of the series is a Japanese-style adventure, with fixed screens depicting locations and menu-based interaction with the environment. The verbal menu is the same for all screens and includes eleven commands. The player advances in the story by exploring locations and trying out all the commands, combining some of them with items. The game also includes some combat sequences.
