Synopsis

Hollow Knight: Silksong is a 2D Metroidvania action game and sequel to Hollow Knight. The story takes place in Pharloom, a vertical insect kingdom with caverns, cities, moors, crypts and a citadel. We play Hornet, captured and who must travel the kingdom to reach the citadel and discover secrets about her origins and the past of the place.

The game maintains the Metroidvania structure with non-linear exploration and progression by abilities. Hornet's combat emphasizes speed and agility, with quick attacks, dodges and acrobatics. Healing and special abilities use Silk, accumulated in combat. Players explore, solve puzzles, craft tools and traps, and complete world-changing quests.

More than 200 enemies and 40 bosses are present, offering materials for upgrades and crafting. A permadeath Steel Soul mode is included, and the hand-drawn 2D style is retained.
