Synopsis

Hot Rod is a top-down racing game influenced by Super Sprint, in which three miniature cars compete to complete a race as quickly as possible, by turning, accelerating and braking at just the right time. You start with a limited amount of fuel, but you can collect more as you go around the circuit. By hitting obstacles, your car may explode, wasting your time when replacing it.

Unusually, racing circuits are linear rather than lap-based, so each lap involves completing a section of the circuit only once. After each race, you can purchase upgrades from the store, depending on how much money you earned in the previous race.
