Synopsis

With its friendly sausage logo, Hotdog Storm is a fairly good vertical shooter, with some good ideas.

The player controls a very classic ship whose weaponry evolves very classically also with the help of small "P"s. We also have modules with various and interesting effects (cannons, flamethrower, head researchers...), a big shot triggering leaving the button pressed and a smart particularly ineffective.

The graphics are simple but pleasant overall, with sprites in a sober but effective tone. The decors are of variable quality, some are rather ugly but the whole is nice.

The sound part is very disappointing. The music is awful, in the purest style "RPG 8bits", and the sound very light...

At the gameplay level Hotdog Storm is quite successful, the ship reacts well, the difficulty is well dosed, with some passages (mined vessel, cunning boss) requiring a good dose of reflexes.

A little known game, classical but well done, despite its foul music.
