Synopsis

The Hybrid Front is a turn-based strategy video game, released in Japan (exclusively) for the Mega Drive.

The introduction begins when someone logs on to a computer. Next, is presented a revolution that took place during the 2080s leading to a series of wars and conflicts that sets the main scene for the video game, taking place in the 26th century. Since the second half of the 21st century, the depletion of fossil fuel resources has contributed to deepening conflict on Earth...
During the 24th century, Earth was bombarded from orbit with massive optical weapons called the "Metal Hammer" by an Italian consortium; Major cities around the world were burned like pieces of toast. Resistance will eventually be announced by CoCoON (short for Orbital Negotiation Cooperation Community). In addition to wanting to run humanity like a business, CoCoON would develop a reputation as a hostile group of war hawks; Constantly in revolt against the peaceful coalition of PETO (abbreviation of Pan Earth Treaty Organization, where a parallel can be made with the UN on our planet).
