Description

Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition is the seventh installment in the Street Fighter II series and it was produced to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Street Fighter series. The game's engine is based on that of Super Street Fighter II Turbo.
The game brings together all versions of each character from previous versions. For example, it is possible to pit the original Chun-Li from Street Fighter II: The World Warrior against the Chun-Li from Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. The differences being the appearance, but also extra moves for more recent versions of the characters (like Kikô-Ken, which Chun-Li only got in Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting).

However, it is not possible to pit two original iterations of the same character against each other (for example: Blanka from The World Warrior against Blanka from The World Warrior), this being impossible in the original game.
