Synopsis

Each team of six players has a goalkeeper, two defenders and three attackers. The game begins and after a goal has been scored, with a faceoff. The puck is dropped in the center of the ice between the sticks of the opposing center players. At other times, the puck bounces sideways to come back into play. The two blue lines divide the playing area into three zones, defensive, neutral (center) and offensive. Only three players can be in their own defensive zone when the puck is outside of it. A player may only enter the attacking zone in line with or behind the puck or the puck possessor. He cannot accept a pass from a teammate who is in another zone at the time of passing. To stay in play, a player can only pass to a colleague in the same zone (also to anyone in their own half if they are in their defense zone).
