Synopsis

During the Edo period in Japan, the Iga and K?ga ninja clans fought among themselves. A mysterious stranger named Doppelgen Hauser, aided by the K?ga ninjas, has kidnapped Princess Mayura. An Iga ninja named Hattori Ga? has vowed to catch the criminal and save the princess, but the ninjas of the K?ga clan will do everything in their power to stop him.
Iga Ninden Ga? is a very loose side-scrolling action game based on historical events, with lots of anachronisms and supernatural elements. Ga? primarily uses his sword to defeat enemies; he can also jump and attack in the air. Sometimes it is necessary to jump over bottomless pits or other obstacles to advance. Pressing the attack button will charge a special meter that will allow Ga? to throw knives at enemies. Furthermore, Ga? has powerful all-screen special attacks that come in limited quantities. Enemies can drop charges for such attacks, health recovery items, and other bonuses. Stages usually end with boss battles, after which the hero gains access to new weapons and armor.
