The Immortal is an isometric action-adventure game.

Your mentor Mordamir has been kidnapped. With no clear lead, you descend into the nearest dungeon, an 8-level isometric gauntlet of deadly traps and foes.

The Immortal is a trial-and-error game where progress hinges on dying, learning trap patterns and overcoming hazards. Despite its frustration, the game cleverly balances annoyance with curiosity and visual rewards, compelling players to push forward to discover the next challenge.

The puzzles range from avoiding traps to strategically using inventory items, occasionally escalating to special challenges like navigating fire-filled hallways on a magic carpet. The dungeon hosts both allies who offer trade or information and hostile enemies ready to attack.

Combats let you see your opponent's attack seconds in advance, allowing you to dodge or counterattack from those angles. While there is no save feature, you can restart levels freely or skip them using passwords.
