Synopsis

Inca Gold is a game from the 80s that follows in the vein of Donkey Kong, with the objective of reaching the upper platform where a creature launches enemies towards the player. The task is made extremely difficult by imprecise jumps and blinking opponents, making the experience frustrating rather than challenging. At that time, the video game industry was still in its infancy and rules on copying concepts were almost non-existent. This is how Funvision produced Inca Gold, which was then released under other names like Spider Maze and Pac Kong, illustrating the common practice of reusing and modifying existing games without much legal constraint.
