Synopsis

Inner Space is a side-scrolling shoot'em up where you pilot a spaceship and must destroy successive waves of alien ships across nine levels. Each level leads you to a boss that you will have to destroy in a certain number of shots. Hitting a ship or projectile costs you one life out of five, and the game is over when you run out of lives. With each wave of ships destroyed, an icon appears on the screen; Collecting it allows you to obtain a more powerful weapon. This weapon is indicated by a row of icons below the play area, and each collected icon highlights the next one. Press the spacebar to use the weapon, but if you don't destroy a wave when an icon is highlighted, you will no longer be able to select it.
