Synopsis
International Soccer Challenge is a sequel of sorts to MicroProse Soccer and has many similarities to the original, including the way the ball sticks to the player's foot. The main difference is the visual perspective, which is pure 3D, seen from just behind the ball as you move across the field, with full polygons and some shadows. You have an on-screen radar that lets you see where your teammates are, reducing the inconvenience of not being able to look behind you.
Two tournaments are offered - a superleague and a recreated World Cup - as well as practice modes. By moving the joystick while you shoot, you can adjust the direction and height of a pass or shot, allowing for a wide range of movement.
