Synopsis

Antheads: It Came from the Desert II is the sequel to the game offered in the form of an expansion. It takes over the game system and most of the settings and characters: only the plot changes.

The action takes place in Lizard Breath in January 1956. The player takes on the role of Brick Nash, a trucker and Korean War veteran, who has hijacked a shipment of plutonium to prevent a nuclear test at a nearby site. While traveling to Lizard Breath to meet Dr. Wells, the only one who can prove the effects of radiation on the local wildlife, his cargo mysteriously disappears after an accident. Pursued by federal agents, he is taken in by Dusty and Biff, who inform him about the town's past and the death of Dr. Wells. He soon discovers that a new colony of giant ants is preparing to invade the city and has hatched a plot in the heart of the hospital to transform its inhabitants into slaves, the Ant Heads. He has ten days to break the ants' hold on the inhabitants, prevent the invasion and exterminate the second queen.
