Synopsis

In It's Only Rock'n'Roll, you take the reins of a newly formed rock band, in search of fame, fortune and symbols of success. Your initial energy decreases with each action, and you plan your ascension step by step. The songs are generated and scored by computer, after which you organize tours to different regions, juggling costs, profits and popularity. Concerts take place in intimate pubs or huge venues, and may be canceled due to illness, bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances. A manager supports you – or causes scandals – as you start fan clubs, sign record deals and bid on luxury goods like yachts or castles. With a clever mix of creativity, strategy and a bit of luck, you can accumulate the popularity points, millions and success symbols necessary to become a rock legend.
