Synopsis

Victory Goal '97 can be considered Sega Worldwide Soccer 97 but with 17 teams from the Japanese professional soccer league. Much like previous Victory Goal games, it does not include international teams, but rather updated club teams and player names for the 1997 season.
The first in the series not to have been developed by "Team Aquila", but this time adapted by SIMS, it became the last in the series dedicated exclusively to the Japanese league, and also the last of the SEGA games to bear the name "Victory Goal". Subsequent versions will use the title "Worldwide Soccer", also in Japan.
