Synopsis

Jack Sprite versus the Crimson Ghost is a unique mix of video games combining old black and white movie clips with different types of mini-games, including 2D fighting games and racing games like Micro Machines. The film "The Crimson Ghost" was a 1950s crime film about a terrifying villager with a ghostly skull-shaped mask.
Most of the film's sequences involved old-school hand-to-hand combat, which was obviously an inspiration for the Jack Sprite gameplay elements. In this game, you play as Jack Sprite, a colorful computer-animated geek who stands in stark contrast to the old black-and-white movie about the Crimson Ghost. Jack Sprite controls a computer desktop that plays video clips from the film, separated into seven locations.
The locations you will visit straight out of the movie are the warehouse, the office and the hotel. Jack Sprite tells you the story of the film and his favorite parts. At certain times he will ask you if he can jump across the screen with the press of a button. If you do, Jack Sprite will be transferred from behind the desk into the movie setting, making everything colorful and playable like a game.
