Synopsis

Quest Of Jongmaster on PC Engine turns out to be a scripted mahjong game, with the RPG aspect that we hoped to find in the Neo-Geo version. We are a long way from certain titles of the same genre, totally directive and sometimes a little culculous, where we mechanically go through duels after duels with bunny girls and other women who are quite stingy with their clothing.
Like in a classic RPG, you meet villagers to talk to, as well as shops where you can shop. It is also possible - and recommended -, before a confrontation, to stock up on magical spells, offensive or defensive, very useful for disrupting the girl opposite. Obviously, each time you win a match, you collect experience points, with the leveling up that this implies. There is therefore an adventure aspect (admittedly simplistic) in this NEC version, even if it ultimately only serves to introduce the different adversaries...
