Synopsis

Jim Bagley's NGPC Game Pack is an unofficial homebrew game created by British game programmer Jim Bagley. Judging by the name alone, it appears to be a large compilation containing various games, but the actual composition consists of Spacies and Asteroids. The first game, Spacies, is a static-screen shooter based on the classic arcade game Space Invaders. Spacies, which Jim Bagley released separately, also remains as an independent game in homebrew materials, and a newer version, distinguished as an early edition and Spacies (Newer), is also confirmed. The second game, Asteroids, is, true to its name, a clone based on Atari's 1979 arcade game Asteroids. Players control a spaceship to attack and destroy asteroids appearing on the screen, continuously accumulating points. Since the basic gameplay involves changing direction in space to deal with targets, just like the original Asteroids, the control feel is quite different from Spacies, even though it belongs to the same shooting genre.
