Synopsis

Johnny Reb is a turn-based strategy game for one or two players, based on the American Civil War. Players can control a Union or Confederate army.

There are three types of units: infantry, cavalry and artillery, and it is possible to decide the number of units of each type in the player's army. After the initial setup, the battlefield is generated. The objective is to capture the enemy's flag, but it is also possible to achieve victory on points. Control of the army is done via keyboard - units can move in eight directions. Artillery can fire from a distance, other types of units can attack directly by simply moving to an adjacent square.
