Synopsis

Joust is a platform jousting game where you play as a knight riding a flying ostrich (or a stork for the second player). The objective is to eliminate enemy knights mounted on vultures by hitting them from a higher altitude. Defeated opponents turn into eggs that must be collected quickly, otherwise they will hatch and give birth to a new knight. The game offers three types of enemies (Bounder, Hunter, Shadow Lord), each worth a different score. A pterodactyl will eventually appear to stalk players if the wave lasts too long. You lose a life by falling into lava or being thrown off your horse. Gravity and inertia strongly influence movements, making the game demanding.
