Synopsis

Jungle King is considered one of the first side-scrolling platforms. The player plays a man closely resembling Tarzan who must go through four successive events: swinging from liana to liana, swimming avoiding alligators while monitoring his air gauge, climbing a hill avoiding rocks, then jumping over two cannibals to save Penelope held over a cauldron. Once the four scenes are complete, the game starts again with a modified palette and additional obstacles, like monkeys on the vines. The game was then graphically retouched and renamed "Jungle Hunt" following a dispute over the hero's resemblance to Tarzan.
